Celebrating Life's Simple Moments

I was asked by Garnish Jewellery Gallery in Revelstoke to help them celebrate their one-year anniversary, so I started to think about what I was celebrating.  In February of this year I almost lost my Dad, he had a heart attack and went into cardiac arrest.  Luckily the ambulance attendants had already arrived at my parents house when this happened and they saved his life.  I spent a week in the Victoria hospital with him and my mom and sister in a crash course on heart attacks.  My Dad is the most important man in my life and I am so grateful that he is still with me.

A bunch of things shifted for me after this happened.  I do think that I spend a lot of time feeling really grateful for everything that I have, but after the shock of almost having him taken out of my life way too soon I started to appreciate more of life's simple moments.

Sitting in the backyard at my parents place just content to be with family and surrounded by love.......

Seeing a wall of art on the street amidst a busy city......

Connecting with strangers and spending hours talking about love and life........

Appreciating the bright flower blooming and glistening with fresh rain drops......

Sitting on the steps outside my studio watching the shadows of the weeds dancing on the pavement.......
